The home and lifestyle blog Domestic Sluttery have described Material Pleasures teacups as the prettiest cups ever.
“...just imagine how brilliant your morning could be with a cup of tea in one of these. It won’t stop the letter from the HRMC arriving but it’ll make opening it a little more enjoyable.”

Julie Spurgeon’s china in Mix team’s “things we love” Winter feature.

"There’s been an awful lot of retro china around recently, most of it derivative and dull, which is what makes Julie Spurgeon’s work all the more special. Her fine bone china plays with pleats and curves to create something new and exciting. We particularly love her Velvet Crush collection which revives the skilled craft of pouncing to embellish fine rims with gold lustre."
